Basil plant flowering?

If you use a lot of basil for culinary purposes,pinching the flower buds off will prolong the harvest of leaves. But if you enjoy looking at the blooms, there's nothing wrong with letting it come to maturity. You might try to collect some of the seeds it produces if it's an especially good looking (or tasting) specimen to grow next year. The growing season is still young,you can always get more plants.
