Why are there so few male Warrior cats fans?

I'm a guy, I'm 18 years old and I think Warriors by Erin Hunter is an epic series, I have a soft spot for cats and I like adventure stories. But most Warriors fans are like, young teenage girls, heavily female-dominated. Why is this? I though Warriors would be more appealing to guys, if anything, is it because it has cats in it and cats are more associated with femininity? Just wondering. Also, any male Erin Hunter fans out there please make me feel like I'm not the only one. Thanks.
