Can I plant my beefsteak tomato next to my poblano pepper?

I know all about companion planting and i know that I shouldn't plant my tomato plant next to my raspberries and other plants. But can I plant my beefsteak tomato plant next to my poblano pepper plant? i currently have the two plants planted 33 inches apart with a basil plant in between the two. Is that okay?
