Can the police arrest me because of a disagreement with roomies?

I have 3 roommates, and they say they feel threatened by me... I have not threatened them in any way, the worst I did was say rats *** to one of them in a txt.... I live in Cali btw.... Anyway I had to sleep on the couch today because my roomies said thy felt threatened if I slept in the same room as my one roomy... They said if I don't sleep on the couch or somewhere else, they would call the police... I have a verbal agreement with them considering rent... Can I actually be arrested by the police even though I'm not threatening them? What are my rights?
