Galant vs. Nissan Altima?

Today I went car shopping and I debated so long over which car I wanted. I'm stuck between the 2006 Nissan Altima and the 2006 Mitsubishi Galant. I have been wanting an Altima for some time now and I know Nissan has good cars. So my question is are Mitsubishi good cars?? I like the fact that the Galant is a little bit more roomy than the Altima. If any of you have these cars please let me know the pros and cons of them.
