Is this a good idea? (20 characters)?

Personally, I wouldn't put my birds in that. However, if it is something you think your birds wouldn't mind and they wouldn't be in there all day long (letting them out on perches or playstands, then go for it. I have seen breeders use those cages. See if you can find something similar but side-by-side cages. They wouldn't seem as dark and cramped.
