So confused, what's the difference?

So i just came up on a random article where a woman asked the best type of condom to use. They were describing the three (latex, lambskin, and polyurethane) and how each was different. What confused me the most is this. They say that latex is the best overall. But yet while they were describing polyurethane it seemed much stronger and better than the latex. "Polyurethane condoms are recommended for those who are allergic to latex. Made from a synthetic plastic, polyurethane is colorless and odorless, and thinner, stronger, less elastic and roomier than latex. Polyurethane condoms can also be used with water- and oil-based lube." are the exact words it said. So, why exactly are latex the best then? I'm not planning on having sex anytime soon but that kinda overwhelmed me a bit. Thanks guys ^^
